Privacy Policy
Dilo helps you practise speaking a language in role-play scenes. We collect as little as we can. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your voice. Speech is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition on your device. Audio is not sent to us.
- Your answers from the first screens (the language you learn, your goal, your level, your name and why you practise), your scene history, the scenes you create, the mistakes you repeat and your game progress (coins, level, streak, items). They are stored on your device and deleted when you delete the app.
- If the app crashes or freezes, Apple's MetricKit gives us a short diagnostic (the type of crash, how long it froze, the app version). It contains nothing you said or typed and is not linked to you.
What is sent to our server, and why
- To play a scene, the text of the conversation (what you said and what the character said), the scene and your level are sent to our server on Cloudflare, which forwards them to an AI model provider (currently Google Gemini, with Groq and NVIDIA as backups) to write the character's reply, check the scene's tasks and, when you ask, the tutor's help. We do not store conversations on our server.
- A random identifier created when you install the app, used only to limit how many requests one install can make per day. Daily counters expire after about a day.
- Character voices. The text of what a character says (never what you say) is sent to Deepgram to turn it into speech. The audio is cached on our server and on your device so the same line is not generated twice; it contains nothing about you.
- Anonymous usage events, to learn which parts of Dilo help people speak more: the install identifier, the name of an event (for example "a line was spoken", "a mission was finished", "the Pro screen was shown"), a few counts or ids (such as the scene's name or the number of tasks done) and the time. Never the text of your conversations. They are stored on Cloudflare for up to 13 months and are not linked to your identity or used to track you across apps.
- App integrity. On devices that support it, the app uses Apple's App Attest to prove to our server that requests come from the genuine Dilo app. Our server keeps the public key Apple certifies and a counter; nothing about you.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app checks your subscription with Apple on your device and sends Apple's signed transaction record (which product, when it renews or expires; no payment details) to our server so it can confirm Pro.
What we do not do
- No sign-up, email or phone number.
- No advertising, no selling or sharing of data for advertising, no cross-app tracking.
- No use of your conversations to train AI models by us.
Children
Dilo is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
You can delete your data at any time by deleting the app. Microphone access can be turned off in iOS Settings; you can still type.

Lo que se queda en tu iPhone

Lo que se envía a nuestro servidor
El texto de la conversación, la escena y tu nivel se envían a nuestro servidor en Cloudflare y a un proveedor de IA (hoy Google Gemini, con Groq y NVIDIA de respaldo) para escribir la respuesta del personaje y la ayuda del tutor. No guardamos las conversaciones. Un identificador aleatorio de instalación limita las peticiones diarias. Las voces de los personajes se generan con Deepgram a partir de lo que dice el personaje (nunca lo que dices tú). Registramos eventos de uso anónimos (por ejemplo "se dijo una frase" o "se terminó una misión", con el identificador de instalación y la hora, nunca el texto de tus conversaciones) hasta 13 meses, para mejorar Dilo; no sirven para rastrearte. En los iPhone compatibles, App Attest de Apple confirma que las peticiones vienen de la app auténtica.
Compras
Las gestiona Apple. No vemos tus datos de pago. La app envía a nuestro servidor el comprobante firmado por Apple (qué plan y cuándo vence) para confirmar Pro.
